About Dr. Cates
Dr. Trevor Holly Cates received her medical degree from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine and went on to study environmental medicine through SpiritMed at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. The first woman licensed as a naturopathic doctor in California, Dr. Cates is in private practice at the Santa Barbara Center for Natural Medicine where she successfully treats a variety of acute and chronic health concerns with a holistic approach using homeopathy, herbal medicine, nutritional therapy, environmental medicine, and craniosacral therapy. Dr. Cates also lectures and writes articles on natural medicine for various local and national publications. She has twice been appointed by Governor Schwarzenegger to California’s Bureau of Naturopathic Medicine Advisory Council where she serves as vice-chairperson. Dr. Cates grew up on an organic farm in Virginia and continues to live a green lifestyle with her husband and three children.
